Despite facing challenges, they salvage a portion of the treasure, rumored to be an astonishing 20 tons of silver.

Their journey takes them to Norfolk, Virginia, aboard the USS Enterprise, where they forge unexpected bonds with Andrew and Patrick. These relationships blossom into romances that culminate in engagements, postponed until their return to Spain and reunion with their families.

To secure their newfound wealth, Valentina and Bianca devise a clever scheme involving a sailboat named the Sanibella and a voyage back to Spain.

Dennis Duncan is a passionate author and resident of Sanibel Island, whose work is deeply inspired by the local legend of Gasparilla the Pirate. Dennis’s fascination with swashbuckling tales began in 6th grade with Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic, “Treasure Island.” Originally from South Africa, he attended Jeppe High School for Boys and Damelin College in Johannesburg before moving to the United States.
